Biologists call the thin line of landscape where specific ecological systems meet, an "ecotone." Such intersections present unique, often overlooked species of plants and wildlife. Some naturalists suggest, astonishingly, that over 90% of all life begins there.
Founded in 1995, The Cedar Tree Institute, a nonprofit organization, reflects a similar presence in the areas of mental health, religion and the environment. Building collaborative partnerships, we sponsor seminars, forums and workshops along with providing counseling, mediation and consulting. One third of our services are pro bono.
